40 degrees.  it feels good to be outside.  i can smell spring.

today is my birthday. i had a nice intimate dinner with my little man. he blew out the candle before i could make my wish... birthday candles are magical whether you are 2 or 32.

calvin's self-portrait. this is one of the first somewhat representational pictures he has drawn. as he drew the half circle he said, "calvin's head" and then in the middle he drew smaller circles which he said are "calvin's eyes".  (...i want to frame it...)
